Euro Steuern auf Bitcoin &amp; Co (\u00d6sterreich)<\/strong><\/h1>\n<p><strong>Nach dem H\u00f6henflug des Bitcoin und von diversen anderen Kryptow\u00e4hrungen konnten Anleger in 2020 enorme Gewinne realisieren. Laut einer Hochrechnung des Kryptosteuer-Experten Blockpit, in Zusammenarbeit mit der Frankfurt School of Blockchain Center und der Dr. Andres Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft mbH, werden in \u00d6sterreich im Steuerjahr 2020 rund 375 Mio. Euro an Steuern auf Krypto-Assets f\u00e4llig. Im Nachbarland Deutschland betr\u00e4gt die Summe sogar stolze 1,28 Mrd Euro.<\/strong><strong><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Wien, Frankfurt a.M. | Anders als beim klassischen Aktienportfolio werden etwaige Gewinne aus dem Handel mit Digitalen Assets, wie zum Beispiel Kryptow\u00e4hrungen, nicht automatisiert an die Finanz abgef\u00fchrt. Die Popularit\u00e4t von Kryptow\u00e4hrungen steigt wieder seit dem Jahr 2018, sodass sich die Marktkapitalisierung im vergangenen Kalenderjahr verdreifachte* und von vielen Investoren beachtenswerte Gewinne realisiert werden konnten. \u201eDie korrekte Dokumentation aller Trades ist f\u00fcr die Berechnung der anfallenden Steuerlast grundlegend\u201d, sagt Florian Wimmer, Gesch\u00e4ftsf\u00fchrer und Mitgr\u00fcnder von Blockpit. Digitale Assets sind lange nicht mehr nur f\u00fcr IT-Affine Nutzer interessant, sondern werden auch zunehmend von b\u00f6rsennotierten Unternehmen, verm\u00f6genden Privatpersonen, Verm\u00f6gensverwaltern oder Regierungen im Anlageverm\u00f6gen gehalten. Dennoch muss die Finanz auf die Ehrlichkeit der Investoren z\u00e4hlen und hoffen, dass diese die Gewinne in ihren Steuererkl\u00e4rungen auch ausweisen. Blockpit empfiehlt allen Steuerpflichtigen, s\u00e4mtliche Einku\u0308nfte aus Kryptow\u00e4hrungen transparent und sauber zu dokumentieren, da diese Nachweise auch r\u00fcckwirkend vom Finanzamt eingefordert werden k\u00f6nnen. \u201eDie meisten unserer Kunden erzielten im Jahr 2020 f\u00fcnfstellige Kryptogewinne. Wir geben ihnen mit unserer Softwarel\u00f6sung die Sicherheit, dass bei der Steuererkl\u00e4rung und der Kommunikation mit dem Finanzamt alles passt\u201c, so Florian Wimmer.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Pro Person \u00fcber 30.000 Euro im Portfolio\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Im Rahmen der Studie wurden anonyme Nutzerdaten zur Einsch\u00e4tzung des m\u00f6glichen Steueraufkommens genauer betrachtet, wobei nur aktive Nutzer mit l\u00fcckenloser Transaktionshistorie herangezogen und Ausrei\u00dfer zuvor entfernt wurden, um einen \u201edurchschnittlichen Nutzer\u201c abzubilden. Die Zahl der Kryptoanleger in \u00d6sterreich wird aktuell auf 180.000 gesch\u00e4tzt und basiert auf den Zahlen der registrierten Nutzer auf den f\u00fchrenden Tauschb\u00f6rsen sowie auf Erhebungen durch die \u00d6sterreichische Nationalbank. Laut Blockpit h\u00e4lt dieser Krypto-Nutzer zum Stichtag 31.12.2020 einen Portfoliowert von 32.129 Euro und erzielte im Steuerjahr 2020 potenziell steuerpflichtige Gewinne in H\u00f6he von durchschnittlich 10.836 Euro sowie steuerfreie Gewinne in H\u00f6he von 7.558 Euro. Entsprechend der Annahmen der Autoren ergibt sich bei rund 180.000 Kryptow\u00e4hrungsbesitzern in \u00d6sterreich \u2013 von denen der Datengrundlage zufolge nur 55% aktiv am Handel partizipieren \u2013 bei einem durchschnittlichen Einkommensteuersatz von 35 %, ein Steueraufkommen in \u00d6sterreich f\u00fcr das Jahr 2020 in H\u00f6he von 375 Mio. Euro. Zum Vergleich: Im Nachbarland Deutschland betr\u00e4gt das hochgerechnete Steueraufkommen vergleichsweise \u201enur\u201c 1,28 Mrd. Euro. Es zeigt sich hierbei, dass \u00d6sterreich im Vergleich zu Deutschland eine h\u00f6here Dichte an Kryptonutzern in der Bev\u00f6lkerung aufweist. F\u00fcr beide L\u00e4nder wurde die Anzahl der Kryptonutzer konservativ gesch\u00e4tzt und basiert auf Studien aus den Jahren 2018 bis 2020. Die neuen Zuw\u00e4chse aus dem aktuellen Krypto-Boom sind hier noch nicht ber\u00fccksichtigt. Sollte sich der Kryptomarkt also im Jahr 2021 weiterhin wie bisher entwickeln oder sogar nur halbwegs stabil bleiben, sind weitaus h\u00f6here Zahlen f\u00fcr die kommende Steuersch\u00e4tzung zu erwarten.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ann\u00e4herung \u00fcber Nutzerdaten<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Da die Datenlage zur Einsch\u00e4tzung des Steueraufkommens ungen\u00fcgend ist, wurden von den Autoren zwei Verfahren verwendet, um ein ad\u00e4quates Bild zu erhalten. Einerseits mittels einer heuristischen Einsch\u00e4tzung und andererseits mittels einer datengest\u00fctzten Analyse von anonymen Nutzerdaten. Hierbei wurde unter anderem auf die Nutzerdatenbank von Blockpit zur\u00fcckgegriffen.
